The Gazette Endorses Laura Bergus for Iowa City Council

The Gazette’s editorial board endorsed Laura Bergus for Iowa City Council today.

“Bergus is a former local government employee now working as an attorney with a specialty in dispute mediation, which would be a great asset to the council,” wrote the board. “Her top issues include affordable housing, regional transportation and managing growth. She impressed us by noting council members sometimes wade too far into micromanaging city staff.”
